Empower Yourself, Empower Others
The Training & Peer Leadership Program offers Africans and diasporan youth a unique opportunity to develop storytelling, memory, and digital media skills throughout the year. This immersive program is designed to unlock creativity, build confidence, and prepare young people to become powerful voices in their communities.
Blending Tradition with Innovation
Our approach combines ancient African memory techniques with modern scientific methods and digital storytelling tools like podcasts, videos, and visual arts. Participants gain hands-on experience that helps preserve cultural heritage while communicating stories in fresh, exciting ways.
Become a Leader and Mentor
More than just training, this program cultivates young leaders who inspire others as “Story Ambassadors”. By teaching their peers, participants help create a ripple effect, building stronger communities through shared stories and mentorship that carry Africans and African diaspora culture forward in a globalized world.
Train One, Teach Many
The Training & Peer Leadership Program is a year-round initiative designed to equip African and African diasporan youth with the skills to become effective storytellers and leaders. Through immersive workshops and mentorships program, participants will learn creative writing, oratory, and cutting-edge digital storytelling techniques that bring their culture and stories to life.
Rooted in Tradition, Powered by Science
Our program blends ancient African memory techniques with modern science to sharpen focus and unlock creativity. Youth also gain hands-on experience in producing podcasts, videos, and visual arts. And these help prepare them to share stories confidently across today’s digital platforms and beyond.
We don’t just train storytellers, we cultivate mentors and “Story Ambassadors” who lead by example. They inspire peers while strengthening their communities at he same time. When you teach a young person to tell their story, you spark a ripple effect that empowers hundreds to find and share their own voices.
We believe when we teach a young person to tell their story—they’ll inspire 100 more to find theirs. This ripple of storytelling not only preserves culture but also builds a community of confident leaders ready to shape the future.
